Dizzying Animated GIFs by Dave Whyte
Digital artist Dave Whyte creates incredible mathematical animated GIFs.
“The Dublin-based PhD student is currently studying the physics of foam and tells us his first geometric gifs riffed on computational modules he was exploring while in undergrad. As interest in the work grows Whyte is focusing more on his artistic side, pushing the boundaries of these small animations created with the Processing programming language. He’s now able to fully envision each animation before coding it, making tweaks to color, timing, and measurements along the way.”
Anonymous Asked:Hi! I had a questions about NYU, if you don't mind answering ^_^. I'm planning to apply to NYUAD ED I, so about the essay - will there be a problem if my essay is too 'out there', so to speak? Not because the Uni is in the Gulf (I'm an Indian raised in Oman ^.^) but because that isn't the type of candidate they are interested in? Also, for my NYU essay, it asks broadly about NYU, but can I focus on NYUAD as this my absolute first and only choice of campus? Thank you so much!! <3 <3
I don’t mind answering questions at all. (: Definitely focus on NYUAD in your personal statement if it’s your first & only choice. But what do you mean by “out there,” exactly?
